Southend High School for Boys
Year 7 Entry

Induction Day

Early in July all pupils who have gained a place at SHSB are invited to our Induction Day. During this day the prospective pupils will have an opportunity to meet future classmates, their new form tutor and some subject teachers. They will have a number of lessons during the morning, usually in Mathematics, English and Science and sample the delights of our cafeteria at both break and lunchtime. They will be given a brochure entitled The Survival Booklet, which is a light-hearted look at how to get on at Southend High School for Boys and is intended to help them settle in as quickly as possible. In the afternoon they will attend the Clubs, Societies and Trips Market. This is run by pupils from years 7 to 13 who will share their experiences of school trips and school societies and clubs and in doing so will endeavour to explain the intricacies of War Hammer, Chess Club, Science Club etc.

Further information about the Induction Day will be found in the Information Booklet.
