SHSB to compete on the world stage once again

Due to its continued success over the last two years at the National Schools Athletics Finals, Southend High School for Boys has been invited once again by the English Schools Athletics Association to provide the boys team to represent England at the World Schools Cross-Country Championships. This biannual competition is to be held in Slovakia in April 2010.

Intermediate Boys Champions of England 2008 (click to read more)
On 6 December 2008, the Intermediate Boys Cross Country team became National Champions in the ESAA Sainsbury's English Schools Cross Country Cup which was held in Leicestershire.  The team won with an outsanding score of 31 points.  This win was hot on the heels of the Borough cross country competition which SHSB won for the 26th consecutive year.
